Hans Stadlmair? Wilhelm Killmayer? -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:30, 2 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stadlmair and Killmayer done. I really like both of those pictures. We are lucky to get the use of those. Storye book (talk) 09:56, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree! Thank you. - We just remembered Stadlmair last weekend. My brother auditioned for the orchestra, and had to sightread something. He asked if he should play the repeat. Stadlmair answered: "You may repeat as often as you like until you are satisfied." Brother played the repeat as the composer had prescribed.) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:26, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Haha. Or, oh dear. It depends ... Storye book (talk) 10:38, 3 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In the end it was good, I think, - he would not have matched the then Bavarian orchestra, and was happy where he landed instead. - Viktor Fogarassy? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:18, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fogarassy done. Sorry I could find no actual photo of him. If you happen to find one, and if you prefer it, I would be happy to change it, and get this one deleted. Actually I like it myself - it shows the character of the man. Storye book (talk) 19:18, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much. It's great, and shows at a glance that he has to do with contemporary art. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:20, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, that is a good point. Storye book (talk) 08:04, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Can you deal with the image q for Tatiana von Metternich-Winneburg? If it's true that it shows Marie, her sister, it should be moved to her article, and hopefully a different one found, no? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:27, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done, both articles and both image files. A swap like that can be a bit muddly, so please would you kindly take a quick glance at both articles and both image files, in case there are any obvious errors? I think it's all OK, but a fresh eye would be a good idea. Thanks. Storye book (talk) 12:28, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Looked and liked! Tatiana at the time I met her, Marie as on the book right below. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:46, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Storye book (talk) 16:59, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
On the bicentenary of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, I remember our recent uplifting choral concert in pictures, on my user page and in my concerts (leading to the two at the church's article). The closest was in the paper. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:46, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I think we'll all be listening to that today. And that's a great photo in the paper. Storye book (talk) 07:36, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with both! Pic shows making music happily together, "to joy". (We were in the opening movement of BWV 104.) Maria didn't stand next to me this time, she offers the most attentive look at the conductor, her husband. Two of her daughters performed, one the alto soloist (as in the Misatango, remember?) and one in the alto section. The tenor soloist was seen singing with the choir also. He came all the way from Iceland, and his singing was such an inspiration. I didn't get a chance for a photo as the soloists never rehearsed with us, and I entertained guests while they rehearsed. I put a 2021 Bach yt in his article. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:12, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes! I just had a quick listen on YouTube, to Benedikt Kristjánsson singing Love in her Eyes, out of Acis and Galatea (Handel). Dee-lish! Weak on the low notes, but who cares. The middle and top tones are just gorgeous. Thank you for the article link. Storye book (talk) 10:33, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I linked to the article on 29 March ;) - his 2020 lone St John Passion (singing almost everything) at Bach's grave is still on his website. - Hin Bredendieck? - if we may have a non-free portrait instead of a chair. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:50, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Image may be free of copyright in Germany - ask a German copyright expert? Storye book (talk) 11:14, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
